Course Objectives: To explore the relationship between evolutionary theory and modern society. The popular media might give one the idea that there is real scientific controversy surrounding the theory of evolution. There is not. However, there is a media-fueled cultural controversy surrounding evolutionary theory. In this class, we will examine the media controversy.
